David J. Robinson brings nearly 20 years of training and experience as an advocate, and lobbyist, as a former legislator, and member of a Columbus mayor’s staff to his representation of customers. Mr. Robinson's experience includes work with the U.S. Congress and state legislative and executive branches of government as well as other government bodies. Mr. Robinson serves customers in both Ohio and Washington D.C.
Experience Before forming The Montrose Group, LLC, Mr. Robinson worked for nearly a decade in large law firms, including Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, LLP. Mr. Robinson also served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, was a part of the government relations staff of Ameritech Ohio, worked as Press Secretary for Columbus Mayor Greg Lashutka, and held the position of general counsel for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. He brings the perspective of a public official, corporate government relations executive, trade association lobbyist, public relations staff, and economic development specialist to every project. Drawing on his work experience, Mr. Robinson also serves as an Adjunct Professor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he teaches an Urban Redevelopment Law course.

Power of Partnering Mr. Robinson’s career began at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Working for a statewide business trade association, Mr. Robinson learned early on the benefit of partnering when addressing public affairs and economic development issues. He learned it often matters more who comes in the room with you for a meeting with a policy maker, not just the message you deliver. For more than twenty years, Mr. Robinson has worked to develop relationships, beginning when he was a Page in the Ohio House of Representatives to today in both Columbus and Washington D.C. In addition, Mr. Robinson’s economic development experience facilitates relationships with a national network of economic development professionals who work to retain and bring jobs to their community. Mr. Robinson speaks their language, understands their programs and knows the process followed for locating a corporation into a community. Mr. Robinson understands the power of partnering to serve customers.

Steven R. Brennen, Electric Rate Incentives Steven R. Brennen is a Principal with the Chaucer Group, LLC who uses his 30 years of public sector experience at the local, state and federal government to serve clients on management, public policy and economic development. Mr. Brennen will use his extensive experience to serve customers of the Montrose Group, LLC through a strategic partnership effort.
Experience Steven R. Brennen served for nearly seven years as the Director of Utilities Department for the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and served as a Manager of a staff of over one hundred professionals, responsible for financial and economic regulation of the state’s electric, telecommunications and gas utilities. He also assisted the Commission Chairman in developing Ohio’s energy policy. Mr. Brennen also served as a private consultant to the Ohio Department of Development on Urban issues following his services as Deputy Chief of Staff for Columbus Mayor Greg Lashutka Served as principal advisor to Mayor and Chief of Staff on policy and administrative matters where he coordinated the City's efforts in developing regional partnerships with the county, suburban governments and regional planning organizations, directed the day-to-day operations of the Mayor’s Office, and served as liaison to Mayor’s Task Force on Technology and the Future of the City. Prior to the Mayor's office, Mr. Brennen served in senior level positions with the Economic Development Administration for the Department of Commerce, in the US House of Representatives and began his career for Mayor Tom Moody in Columbus.
Focus Steven R. Brennen's focus in partnering with the Montrose Group, LLC will center on assisting in the development of electric rate incentives and other economic developmetnt initiatives.
